The awe-inspiring Rwenzori mountain range in western Uganda offers world-class hiking and mountaineering adventures.
The Rwenzori Mountains lie in western Uganda along the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
They are the highest mountain range in Africa, with the highest peak of Mt. Stanley reaching 5109 meters. The mountain range is a world-class hiking and mountaineering destination and in contrast to the snow-covered peaks of the tallest mountains, the lower slopes are blanketed in moorland, bamboo and rich, verdant forest.
Crater Safari Lodge organises regular trips to Rwenzori Mountains.
